Music for Peace – Remembering 1917


An afternoon of music commemorating Canada’s role in the First World War, featuring works performed or composed during the First World War.


Benoit Loiselle, cello: Principal cello of Les Violons du Roy, and an accomplished soloist and chamber musician. He appears regularly at various music festivals and events in Canada.

Veronique Vychytil, violin: A member of the Les Violons du Roy and a frequent performer as a chamber musician in festivals around Québec.

Isaac Chalk, viola: Principal viola of Les Violons du Roy, and a graduate of McGill University, where he was the recipient of the prestigious Golden Violin Award, the largest privately funded music scholarship in Canada.
